If I could only have a backdrop that consisted of an old piece of solid wood. The island of Palm Beach in south Florida has a dizzying amount of architectural elements that are a photographer’s dream.
Erica Berger and I started our journey on the famed Worth avenue and didn’t have to venture far between shots to find interesting scenery to use.
The Time Machine

Found this interesting poster in a store window. I wonder who the person in the background was? Did he realize his photo was taken and if so how many years later it would be seen and further distributed in other photos such as mine?
Make a Wish

From wikipedia – A wishing well is a term from European folklore to describe wells where it was thought that any spoken wish would be granted. The idea that a wish would be granted came from the idea that water housed deities or had been placed there as a gift from the gods, since water was a source of life and often a scarce commodity.

We both fell in love with this rustic wood. Made a fitting backdrop!
Prior to this shot a local shop proprietor began questioning what we were up to. I had to very politely remind her we were in a public place.
Who is the subject?
Photo shoot this morning with model Erica Lee Berger. I thought the photo title was fitting seeing the sheep appears to be looking towards the camera.
Meet Tootsie
Via Flickr:
Tootsie is my little tortie manx who is approximately 3 years old. This shot was taken on 6/17/11 with my studio strobes. My intention was to take photos of water splashing after dropping objects into it. Tootsie made it a point to lay down on my tabletop and do whatever was necessary to be the center of attention. She has the typical comical manx appearance with big bright surprised looking eyes/expression.

The Result of Blustery Weather
Photo shoot from last Saturday. This very large puddle provided the perfect setting.
As of a few days ago this parking lot which made the perfect setting is closed and is being made into a bed and breakfast. It somehow makes the spot where a series of photos were taken even more special to me.
